According to a retail listing spotted by Kotaku, Square Enix and Microsoft have teamed up to bring a special edition Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 bundle to North America in time for the game’s release near the beginning of March.
Called the Xbox 360 Final Fantasy XIII Special Edition Bundle, the package will include a copy of the game, a 250B hard drive, two wireless controllers, all the standard Xbox 360 accoutrements, and will retail for $399.
The weird thing is that the retail listing describes the console and controllers as black, even though the packaging shows all items to be white. Additionally, there doesn’t seem to be anything special about the console itself, like the limited edition Final Fantasy XIII PS3 which had an image of protagonist Lightning ‘emblazoned’ across the top. Check it out for yourself:
Maybe Microsoft will say something about it at its X10 event starting tomorrow?
Final Fantasy XIII releases on March 9th worldwide (!).
