Yesterday Ubisoft announced that Ghost Recon: Future Solider was in development for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The next entry into the Ghost Recon franchise will be available in fall 2010, with an exclusive multiplayer beta invitation available this summer if you buy Splinter Cell: Conviction when it releases on the Xbox 360 in the middle of April.
The game is said to feature “cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes.” The publisher also promises that Future Solider will see a move beyond the core of previous Ghost Recon games to provide a new, fresh gameplay experience, with an “unparalleled level of quality” to “excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.”
Yet perhaps it is the debut trailer for Future Soldier that reveals the most about the game so far. It’s to be expected that the game will take us into the future of warfare given the title, but just how far into the future is the question that will plague your mind once you have watched the debut trailer below and seen a glimpse of the Phantom Op in action.
