Microsoft and Ruffian Games have popped the latest downloadable content for their third person shooter, Crackdown 2, on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
The Deluge Pack game add-on delivers a new “adrenaline-fueled co-op arcade mode called Deluge which pits up to four players against increasingly more challenging waves of denizens from Pacific City.” For 560 MS Points you’ll get the premium version of the DLC which includes all the Deluge Pack content including the new Deluge co-op mode, new Achievements, avatar awards and the 16-player Capture the Orb mode.
You can also download the trial version if you like, which includes the 16-player Capture the Orb mode as well as a single player, sample version of the Deluge co-op mode.
And if you get the new DLC you’ll be making history too because the Crackdown 2 Deluge Pack game add-on delivers a “first-of-its-kind integration for Xbox LIVE members, directly tying activities and accomplishments earned in the new Windows Phone 7 tower defence game, Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst, with the Xbox 360 game.”
According to Microsoft, “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst uses Bing Maps to allow you to choose your home territory anywhere in the real world and defend it from an onslaught of Freaks and Cell Terrorists. Likewise, scores in Deluge can unlock new weapon upgrades in Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst, which will be available this November.”
Get a taste of the action in the Deluge DLC trailer below. It features gameplay from the DLC as well as footage from the Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst tower defense game for Windows Phone 7.
