During Nintendo’s recent press conference (where the company officially announced the release date for the 3DS), there was quick mention of something called the WiiMote Plus, a new peripheral for the Wii that combines both a regular WiiMote controller and the Wii Motion Plus add-on into one solid device.
No further details were forthcoming at the event, however, but now we’ve got some more official news to share with you regarding this ‘mysterious’ WiiMote Plus controller.
As mentioned, the WiiMote Plus combines a normal WiiMote (that comes standard with a Wii) and a Wii Motion Plus add-on (which adds extra motion sensing technology to the controller) into one complete package, so you don’t have to clip anything into anything anymore to get that extra precision.
Combined, the new controller is the same size as a standard WiiMote controller, and will be packed-in with all future Wii consoles, starting November 11th… in Japan at least.
On that date, the WiiMote Plus will also go on sale as a standalone unit for ¥3,800 (roughly $45), and will be available in white, black, blue, pink and red colour variations. To coincide with the release of these new colours, new Nunchuck colours will also go on sale starting on November 11th for ¥1,800 (roughly $21).
Additionally, a blue WiiMote Plus controller will be bundled with future Wii Sports Resort packages starting November 11th, and will retail for ¥5,800 (roughly $70).

Comments:
It makes sense going forward to combine the two. That blue is very nice!
The fact that Nintendo managed to squeeze the technology down into a regular sized WiiMote is also a... plus.
See what I did there?
No, but did you really see what I did there?
ROFL :)
