Mario’s 25th Anniversary Box Set heading for Europe?

Update Nintendo of UK has since released a press release confirming that Super Mario All-Stars – 25th Anniversary Edition will be available on the Wii across Europe on the 3rd of December.

The 25th Anniversary Edition will include four popular Mario NES games as well as extra collectibles. The Super Mario All-Stars disc will contain Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. It will also include a booklet detailing Super Mario’s full history and an audio CD featuring music spanning the last 25 years of Super Mario games. End of Update

Last month Super Mario Bros. celebrated its 25th anniversary and Nintendo revealed that a special ‘Anniversary Edition’ of the game would become available for the Wii on the 21st of October.

The only thing is that according to the publisher this Anniversary Edition would only be coming to Japan. Well there’s some good news for you today folks because it looks like the re-release of Super Mario All-Stars will be coming to Europe as well!

Super Mario All-Stars – 25th Anniversary Edition Box Art

This news comes via Nintendo’s Swedish website, which posted a listing for the collection alongside a release date of the 3rd of December. You can marvel at the English box art above, although take note that it’s marked ‘not final.’

As you can see it looks like all the extras included with the Japanese version have made their way into the English version. This includes the booklet (that takes you through the history of the Mario franchise with never-before-seen artwork and development materials inside), a soundtrack CD (with music from the games, all the way from Super Mario Bros. through to Super Mario Galaxy 2), and history DVD as well as the game itself: Super Mario Collection.

Basically it’s a “reproduction” of Super Mario All-Stars/Super Mario Collection that released in 1993 on the SNES, and includes an array of classic Mario platform titles.

Looks like your Beatles prayer worked! Nintendo just confirmed that the game will be released across Europe on the 3rd of December.

Same day as Donkey Kong: Country Returns incidentally.

Yes!

'The Beatles Prayer' never fails!

Can you maybe try it on Nintendo releasing Kirby's Epic Yarn in PAL territories this year?
