A brand new LittleBigPlanet 2 featurette video has been released by the fine folks over at Media Molecule to shine a spotlight on an entity in the game known as ‘Sackbots,’ little (or big!) programmable characters that you’re able to use either to help you during your adventure, or to simply perform cool tasks and animations during cinematics!
Here’s a bit of a better explanation from the PlayStation Blog:
“The loveable Sackbots are AI-controlled Sack-people that populate the levels of LittleBigPlanet 2‘s Story Mode. But it’s in Create Mode that they really come into their own. Shape, resize and style them, and then bring them to life by choosing their behaviour patterns, recording actions and even dialogue.
“Friends or foes, robots or zombies… Sackbots can be whatever you need them to be, and this featurette gives you a little taste of the possibilities.”

LittleBigPlanet 2 has been slapped with a release date of January 18th 2011 in North America, but we’re still waiting on an official date for the rest of the world.
