Those of you who own Crystal Dynamics’ excellent Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light action game on Xbox 360 will want head on over to Xbox LIVE Marketplace tomorrow, because not only will the long-awaited online cooperative patch for the game become available, but that promised free downloadable content will be up for download, too.

A free title update will add online co-op play tomorrow, which will finally allow Guardian of Light gamers to join and create games with their friends over Xbox LIVE.

Additionally, and for a limited time period, the first set of downloadable content for Guardian of Light, called ‘All the Trappings,’ will be given away for free. The content is said to add “a brand new area to conquer” and features “a combination of puzzle, exploration and combat experiences.”

This content will only be available for free for 30 days to Xbox LIVE Marketplace shoppers, so you had best get moving!

With regards to similar plans for PlayStation 3 and PC gamers, the press release reads:

“The co-op and DLC update for PlayStation3 and PC players will be coming soon. More details to follow.”
