Today is the day that many a gamer has been looking forward to for a while now, the day that Medal of Honor launches across Europe, the UK and South Africa.
The game was released across the US earlier this week and EA have already reported “great” day one sales, saying that the game is “well in position for an outstanding holiday” thanks to a “great commercial start.” Reports indicate that major retail chains across the US exceeded Day 1 forecasts due an overwhelmingly positive response so far.
In fact Bob McKenzie, Senior Vice President of Merchandising at GameStop, said “We anticipate Medal of Honor to be one of the biggest video game titles launched this year. This underscores how video gaming has emerged as mainstream entertainment.”
