According to a new post on the European PlayStation blog, PlayStation Plus subscribers in the region will soon gain access to free downloadable content for the enormous first-person RPG, Fallout 3, while new details have emerged regarding when eager gamers will be able to scramble to gain access to that Killzone 3 multiplayer beta.
From October 13th (tomorrow), PS Plus members in Europe will have one week to download three of the five released Fallout 3 add-on packs, and then from October 20th, members will have another week to grab the remaining two packs for the game. Here’s the schedule:
13 October
- Fallout 3: Point Lookout
- Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta
- Fallout 3: Operation: Anchorage
20 October
- Fallout 3: Broken Steel
- Fallout 3: The Pitt
Then, for all you Killzone 3 multiplayer beta wannabe participants, on October 19th, a Killzone 3 XMB theme will show up in the PS Plus section of the PlayStation Store. The first 10 000 European PS Plus members who download that theme will receive access to the multiplayer beta.
If you want to know what time you’ll need to be hanging around the PlayStation Store in order to download that theme, listen up: the theme goes live at 8pm in the UK, 9pm CET and 6am in Sydney, Australia.
Also this month… PS Plus members in Europe will get access to an exclusive multiplayer demo for Split/Second.
As a final note, here’s a message straight from the PS Blog:
“[W]e owe you an apology. Last Wednesday, I promised that the Hustle Kings Full Game Trial would be available from the Plus section of PlayStation Store by the following day and it didn’t happen. However, we haven’t forgotten and it will be included in tomorrow’s PlayStation Store update.”
And that’s all the PS Plus news fit for reporting.
