Nintendo of Europe has announced that the New Super Mario Bros. Wii Pack (or ‘the red Wii bundle’) will indeed be making its way to the region’s shores, as reported earlier today with the appearance of an image of the PAL version of the console.
To celebrate 25 years of Super Mario Bros., European gamers will be able to get their hands on a super Wii bundle which includes a red Wii, a red Wii Remote Plus, a red Nunchuk, and a total of three games, namely New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports, and a pre-installed version of the original Donkey Kong, in homage to Mario’s first ever appearance in a videogame.
This bundle will become available in European and PAL regions on October 29th.
In addition, and on October 22nd, European types will also have the option of buying the New Super Mario Bros. Nintendo DSi XL Special Edition Pack, which includes a red Nintendo DSi XL (branded with character icons) and a copy of New Super Mario Bros.
Nintendo reminds us:
“The Super Mario Bros. series is the best-selling video game series of all time, with more than 240 million units sold globally. New Super Mario Bros. Wii allows up to four players to experience an action-packed Mario platform game on Wii simultaneously for the first time.”
