Microsoft has announced its intention to re-launch its annual ‘X’ press expo, with the Xbox 360 X10 Media Reception event taking place in San Francisco next month.
The last fully fledged ‘X’ event to take place, X06, was held in Barcelona, Spain in 2006, while the event’s history dates back to the X01 expo, which took place in Cannes, France in 2001 (see a pattern there?) and was used to promote the soon-to-be-released original Xbox.
With the proclamation that 2010 will be “the biggest year in Xbox 360 history,” we can probably expect quite a show, which will include showings of the “most anticipated Xbox 360 lineup ever,” such as Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Fable III, Halo: Reach, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, Final Fantasy XIII, the new and upcoming downloadable content for Left 4 Dead 2, as well as the recently announced Game Room.
