It’s always a little dubious when the man who’s meant to know the comings and goings of Xbox LIVE’s content like the back of his hand - Xbox mouthpiece Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb - isn’t able to scrounge together enough information on a game releasing on his network, but this is exactly the case with the upcoming puzzle game, KrissX. According to the Major:
“Information on the game is light, so here is what I was able to find:
“In ‘KrissX,’ players can play through an endless number of puzzles and unscramble over 3,500 jumbled words that will test your trivia knowledge and expand your own daily vocabulary.”
I was able to dig up a single screenshot, which may or may not be representative of the final quality of the game:
The ESRB also provides the following explanation: “…players switch two letters at a time to form words to solve a word puzzle. Some modes of play prompt players by providing hints to guess the correct word (e.g., “aisle - Like ‘passage’” and “anguish - Like ‘hurting.’”
KrissX will be available on Xbox LIVE Arcade on Wednesday, January 27th (or tomorrow, if you like), for 800 MS Points.
Hopefully more information will come to light before then…
