Media Create Japanese Hardware Sales for week ending 17/01: PSP still leading the pack
The PSP has held on to the number 1 spot on the Japanese hardware chart for another week.
The latest Media Create figures show that Sony’s handheld sold 71 186 units for the week ending the 17th of January. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep remained popular in its second week, selling 177 000 copies and helping the PSP retain the top position.
The Wii followed in second place with 57 349 units while the PS3 was next with 35 156. The DSi LL kept up the pace with 30 418 units, the DSi with 27 292 and the DS Lite with 6 574. The Xbox 360 sold 4 622, the PS2 2 580 and the PSPgo 2 027 units.
