Activision Blizzard recently announced that last year’s DJ Hero was the highest grossing new intellectual property in the US and Europe for calendar year 2009, according to data released by sales tracker The NPD Group.
CEO of Activision Blizzard, Bobby Kotick enthused:
“DJ Hero has transformed music gaming by marrying an innovative turntable controller and exhilarating gameplay with the biggest artists and incredible music from around the world.
“Consumers and critics agree that DJ Hero is one of the best music games ever created and further establishes Guitar Hero(R) as the premier franchise of its kind.”
Kotick recently confirmed that a follow-up to DJ Hero is currently in the works.
