Ubisoft announced late yesterday that Splinter Cell: Conviction, previously thought to be releasing in late February, has now been delayed until April at the earliest.
The publisher recently lowered its financial forecasts for the current fiscal year, and moved two of its most anticipated games (well, one), namely the action-oriented stealth ‘em up, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and the strategic ‘board game,’ RUSE, out of the current fiscal year (ending March of this year) into the next.
A released press release read:
“The postponed release dates for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction and R.U.S.E, which were previously scheduled for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2009-10, and will now be released in fiscal year 2010-11. Splinter Cell Conviction is now expected to hit the stores in April 2010.”
Be sure to read through all of El33tonline’s previous coverage of Splinter Cell: Conviction to see what it’s all about – we’re definitely looking forward to it (I’m actually quite disappointed it’s been delayed…).
