It’s been announced that 2010 will see the return of the Assassin’s Creed franchise in a new standalone Assassin’s Creed game featuring multiplayer, no less, and the return of Assassin’s Creed II protagonist, Ezio de Auditore.
Assassin’s Creed II, which has sold 6 million units and is expected to sell through 9 million by the end of March this year, has been met with great success, and Ubisoft is going to be quick to cash in on the franchise’s popularity with this newly announced title, while the announced downloadable content (DLC) will do its part in keeping Assassins Creed II players happy.
