The good Major has announced that Xbox LIVE Marketplace’s Xbox LIVE Arcade on the Xbox 360 will be bolstered by the addition of two new titles tomorrow in the form of the classic SEGA Mega-Drive/Genesis platformer Sonic & Knuckles, as well as the second episode of the Wallace and Gromit episodic adventure game series, entitled The Last Resort.
The story of Sonic & Knuckles includes the coming together of “sworn adversaries” in Sonic 3, the “blue hedgehog [Sonic] and the red echidna [Knuckles]” in an attempt to defeat Dr. Eggman (also known as Dr. Robotnik) and “acquire the priceless Master Emerald and save Angel Island.”
“Experience the speed of Sonic and the power of Knuckles in this great adventure from the Sonic The Hedgehog series!”
Features of the game include the ability to play as either Sonic or Knuckles, the inclusion of eight different zones and two different adventures, as well as the ability to unlock new content and add a twist to previous Sonic adventures (if you already own them on XBLA). Get that for 400 MS Points on XBLA tomorrow.
Wallace and Gromit Episode 2: The Last Resort, on the other hand, asks the question “Will the perfect holiday turn into the perfect crime?” It continues:
“When unrelenting rain ruins their holiday plans, Wallace & Gromit bring the beach to 62 West Wallaby with a makeshift resort — in their basement. Keeping customers satisfied is tricky business, especially when one of them is clocked on the head by an unknown assailant. Whodunnit?
“Find out… with a little help from Wallace’s latest invention, the Deduct-o-matic!”
You’ll be able to buy the second episode of Wallace and Gromit on XBLA tomorrow for 800 MS Points.
