Hudson has announced that Bomberman Live: Battlefest will be blasting up Xbox Live Arcade this winter.
Up to 8 players will once again be able to compete in explosive online multiplayer action, but they will be armed with new power-ups (such as the cluster bomb, rocket bomb and laser bomb) and decked out in new costumes. The game will include a new team play feature where two to four players can join to battle other teams.
You can also look forward to four new modes (VIP, Bankroll, Capture the Flag and Capture the Crow) and new arenas, including an Adventure Island themed arena, a shape-shifting MultiMaze and a Pirate Ship. Players will also be able to use an avatar as a playable character.
Bomberman Live has proved to be very popular on Xbox Live, selling 500 000 copies to date, so keep an eye out for Bomberman Live: Blastfest when it arrives on Xbox Live Arcade this winter.
“It’s Bomberman time again, and we’re thrilled to give fans another installment with much-demanded new features,” said Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Digital Download at Hudson Entertainment. “Bomberman is one of the most beloved figures in gaming and it’s a blast to continue the legacy of this fun and frenetic classic with Bomberman Live: Battlefest.”
