After debuting at the top of the chart last week with 720 000 copies each, Pokemon SoulSilver and HeartGold continue to sell well in their second week on the Media Create software chart.

Pokemon SoulSilver hangs on to the number 1 spot with 225 579 copies while Pokemon HeartGold follows at number 2 with 220 554 copies. Interesting to note that both titles are just short of the million sales mark with life-to-date sales for SoulSilver standing at 948 000 and HeartGold at 941 000 – not bad for two weeks on the market!

Three new entries are next: Tales of Vesperia for the PS3 debuts at number 3 with 216 593 copies, followed by Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakkyuu Portable 4 for the PSP at number 4 with 104 377 copies and SaGa 2: Hihou Densetsu for the DS in fifth with 91 547 copies.

Tomodachi Collection drops three places to number 6 with 72 629 copies while Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Tag Force 4 for the PSP is new at number 7 with 50 697 copies and Ys Seven, also for the PSP, debuts at number 8 with 33 349 copies. Dragon Quest IX moves down four places to number 8 with 32 603 copies and Idolmaster: Dearly Stars for the DS rounds off the Top 10, new at number 10 with 30 786 copies.

Movers and shakers

With six new entries in the Top 10 this week, a few regulars take a slight tumble. Wii Sports Resort settles into number 11, Monster Hunter Portable 2G (Best) at number 17, and Monster Hunter 3 finishes at number 19. Kidou Senshi Gundam Senki for the PS3 and Love Plus for the DS drop to numbers 15 and 18 respectively.

There are also a bunch of new entries in the Top 50 this week. Of notable mention are Forever Blue 2 for the Wii (12), Katei Kyoushi Hitman Reborn! for the PSP (13), Tears to Tiara Gaiden for the PS3 (14), Korg DS-10 Plus for the DS (23), The House of the Dead Overkill for the Wii (30), Wet for the PS3 (31) and Terminator Salvation for the PS3 (41).
