The release of Scribblenauts for the DS is just around the corner, the 15th of September. Here’s a batch of new screenshots, a new trailer and an interview with the game’s creative director to keep you entertained until then.
Write anything, Solve everything
The objective of this puzzle action game is to help Maxwell complete puzzles and collect the Starite in each level. Players do this by writing an objects name on the touchscreen, with each object behaving as it would in the real world and players able to combine countless objects to create new scenarios.
Players advance through ten worlds, completing the eleven puzzle and election action levels per level, with a total of 220 challenges in the game. If you beat a level under par (the number of objects suggested to finish the level) you will earn the in-game currency known as ‘Ollars’ which you can use to buy new levels and music.

If you need any more convincing about the greatness that is Scribblenauts, watch this Accolades trailer below.
You can also find out more about the rules of the game from the game’s Creative Director, Jeremiah Slaczka, co-founder of developer Cell 5.
