Guitar Hero 5 fans will be able to download five live tracks from The Rolling Stones’ 1969 concert. ‘Satisfaction,’ ‘Under My Thumb’ and ‘I’m Free’ will be available as singles in Europe from launch day until the 6th of January 2010 via Xbox Live Marketplace. ‘Prodigal Son’ and ‘You Gotta Move’ will be available at launch as downloads for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
Activision also announced that three popular European DJ’s would join the DJ Hero line-up: Benny Benassi, Paul van Dyk and Tiësto. The three DJs will be featured in various on-disc mixes including Paul van Dyk ‘Nothing But You’ vs. Sandy Rivera ‘I Can’t Stop’ and Benny Benassi ‘Satisfaction’ vs. Tiësto ‘Elements Of Life.’
The publisher also revealed that Adam Levine, frontman and singer of Maroon 5, will be available as a playable character in Band Hero. The band’s ‘She Will be Loved’ will also be featured in the game. Levine had this to say about his inclusion in the game, “Besides the fact that it is cool to be in a video game, it is also exciting to be thought of as someone that could be in a video game so I am very proud to be a part of Band Hero.”
“Guitar Hero’s global leadership in music gaming comes from our ability to attract some of the world’s most popular artists,” said Michael Sportouch, Senior Director Guitar Hero Europe. “The Rolling Stones, Maroon 5, Benny Benassi, Paul van Dyk and Tiësto show the high quality and great variety of music we’ll bring fans this Autumn with Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero and Band Hero.”
