Chart Track UK Software Sales for week ending 15/08: Ashes Cricket 2009 top of the order

Codemaster’s latest cricket simulation game, Ashes Cricket 2009, once again ranks at the top of the UK Software Sales Chart this week, able to comfortably make its way to No. 1.

Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit are also able to retain their spots from last week, sitting at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. Meanwhile, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood takes a walk up to No. 4 from No. 7 last week, as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 makes way, moving from No. 4 to No. 5 this week.

Mario Kart Wii continues its sales surge into the Top Ten by shooting up to No. 6 from No. 8, Call of Duty: World at War re-enters the Top Ten at No. 7 from No. 11 last week, and Madden NFL 10 charts at No. 8 in its debut week on sale.

The rodent spy game based on the movie of the same name, G-Force, is a non-mover at No. 9, while Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince shimmies down to No. 10 from No. 6 last week.

Other interesting movement on the chart this week includes Fight Night Round 4 dropping to No. 12 from No. 5 last week, The Sims 3 finally moving out of the Top Ten to No. 13, EA Sports Active bumbling its way from No. 14 to No. 22 this week, Too Human re-entering the chart at No. 32, New Super Mario Bros. also making a reappearance on the chart at No. 34, and UFC 2009: Undisputed falling to No. 39 from No. 22 last week.
