EA Montreal has announced that its upcoming action shooter, Army of Two: The 40th Day, will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP early next year. The game will hit shelves across Europe on the 8th of January 2010 and a few days later in North America on the 12th of January.
Army of Two: The 40th Day sees Salem and Rios trapped in Shanghai, forced to escaping the collapsing city, all the while surviving enemy assaults. The game features four multiplayer modes including Extraction.
Players who pre-order the game will have exclusive access to the new Extraction multiplayer mode at launch. The new mode will only be unlocked for other players one month after the game ships. Extraction mode “pits a team of four players against a series of unique enemy waves as they move from point to point in the ruined city.”
