Nintendo’s Wii Sports Resort holds on to its number 1 spot for a second week, selling 155 000 copies for the week ending the 5th of July according to the latest Media Create figures. The sequel to popular title Wii Sports debuted at the top of the software chart last week with 360 000 copies, bringing its life-to-date sales to an impressive 514 000 copies in just two weeks.
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva for the PSP is the first of two new entries this week, debuting at number with 2 with 101 000 copies while Tomadachi Collection (Friend Collection) for the DS falls one place to number 3 with 63 000 copies.
Another PSP game, Boku no Natsuyasumi 4, enters the charts at number 4 with 50 000 copies while Monster Hunter Portable 2G (Best) moves up four places to number 5 with 14 000 copies and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days for the DS climbs one spot to finish sixth with 13 000 copies.
Ken to Mahou to Gakuen Mono. 2 for the PSP drops to number 8 with 12 000 copies after debuting at number 4 last week and Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland for the PS3 drops six places to ninth with 11 000 copies after entering the chart at number 3 last week. Sega’s Infinite Space for the DS re-enters the Top 10, climbing 18 places to number 10 with 10 000 copies.
Three titles take a dive after debuting in the Top 10 last week: the PS3 version of the new game from Arc Systems, BlazBlue, drops to number 13 and the Xbox 360 to number 19 while Agarest Senki Zero (Compile Heart) for the PS3 drops to number 2. Level 5’s popular DS title Sloan and MacHale’s Mysterious Story drops out of the Top 30 completely this week.
Surprisingly EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis fails to enter the Top 10 in its debut week, debuting at number 14 this week.
