Although the Guitar Hero franchise has been in South Africa for quite some time, the Rock Band one has been conspicuously absent from the shelves. This looks set to change with confirmation coming from Kalahari.net that Rock Band will finally be distributed in South Africa with the upcoming rhythm game The Beatles: Rock Band headed to SA shores.
The first glimmer of hope for Rock Band fans emerged earlier in the week when Kalahari Games’ twitter asked gamers who would buy The Beatles edition of Rock Band because the company was providing forecasts to EA. Since then Kalahari Games has confirmed that The Beatles: Rock Band bundle will be available for R2499 while the standalone game for The Beatles: Rock Band and Rock Band 2 will cost you R599.
Kalahari Games promised that information for the limited edition instrument bundles for The Beatles: Rock Band and more would be on their site shortly.
The Beatles: Rock Band will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii across North America and the UK on the 9th of September. Stay tuned for more details on a release date for SA soon. Until then head over to El33tonline’s previous coverage for more information, screenshots and trailers for the game.
