After debuting at number 1 on the Media Create Japanese Software Chart with 2.319 million copies last week, Dragon Quest IX has sold an impressive 613 000 copies in its second week on the chart. This brings life-to-date sales of the title to 2.932 million copies.
Konami’s Pro Yakyuu Spirits 6 for the PS3 enters the chart at number 2 with 74 000 copies while the PS2 version of the game debuts at number 5 with 50 000 copies. Wii Sports Resort slips one place to third with 72 000 copies while Tomodachi Collection (Friend Collection) for the DS also drops once spot to number 4 with 61 000 copies.
Ys I and II Chronicles for the PSP is this week’s third new entry, new at number 6 with 19 000 copies while another PSP title, Boku no Natsuyasumi 4 (My Summer Vacation 4), loses footing to finish seventh with 17 000 copies.
Two PSP titles follow at numbers 8 and 9 (both losing three places this week), Hatsune Miku: Project Diva with 15 000 copies and Monster Hunter Portable 2G (Best) with 11 000 copies. Pokemon Platinum follows at number 10 with 9 000 copies.
Wii Fit, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days and Sloane & MacHale’s Mysterious Story drop out of the Top 10 this week, down to numbers 11, 12 and 12 respectively.
