Sony has announced that a video for Irish rock band U2’s ‘I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight’ will be premiered exclusively on VidZone on the PS3 in the UK. This video exclusive will be ahead of the single’s release on the 17th of August.
VidZone was launched earlier this year in June as a free service, exclusive to PS3 owners. After downloading VidZone from the PlayStation Store, PS3 owners can view music videos on demand by streaming them directly to their PS3 and on to their TV screen.
The video of ‘I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight’ has been created by filmmaker David O ’Reilly and tells parallel stories of one night in the lives of multiple characters. According to O ’Reilly, “All of the characters are tipped over the edge, and this leads to them making changes in their lives.”
U2 buffs will be interested to learn that this is the first animated clip for the band since ‘Hold Me, Kill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me’ from 1995.
