Zen Studios has announced that its Marvel Comic-inspired first person shooter The Punisher: No Mercy is now available on the PlayStation Store in both North America and Europe for $9.99. This announcement comes despite earlier reports from the studio that the game would be delayed in Europe.
The publisher also announced that a free demo of the game will also be available to download on the PlayStation Network from today. The demo will allow players to “sample the fast-paced action of the Marvel Comics-inspired first-person shooter with two of the eight levels from the original version of the game.”
The Punisher: No Mercy features an original story driven single player campaign as well as a fast-paced multiplayer experience that includes a “wide array of weapons, intense combat and deafening destruction” as well as “original and comic-inspired in-game taunts.” Players can choose to fight with or against a mix of Punisher allies and villains in a series of arena-styled multiplayer matches. These matches feature both solo and team-based missions for up to 8 players.
