The collector’s edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to raise the bar as far as collectable items go, as the package is set to ship with a pair of fully functional night vision goggles.

Entitled ‘The Prestige Edition,’ this Modern Warfare 2 package is sure to turn heads when it’s released, and relegate Fallout 3’s and Halo 3’s collector’s edition offerings (a survival kit and ‘cat helmet’ respectively) to second-best. Who doesn’t want night vision goggles?

Infinity Ward community manager, Robert Bowling, has even posted an ‘unboxing’ video of himself opening the Prestige Edition and fishing out the contents of the box, which also include the ‘Hardened’ edition of the game packaged in a steel case, an art book, and a download code to get the original Call of Duty (now called Call of Duty: Classic) on PSN and XBLA.
