Nintendo of South Africa is challenging local families to compete in a series of game events at Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarkets throughout the country, for a chance to win one of two big prizes, namely a family trip for four to Euro Disney, or R100 000 cash.
All you need to do to stand a chance of winning is make your way to a Nintendo Games area at one of the seven participating Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarkets (full details follow below) and enter the Nintendo Games 2009 challenge as a family of four, which can comprise any combination of family members, such as Dad, Gran and two siblings, for example.
What exactly is the Nintendo Games 2009 challenge, though?
To compete in the Nintendo Games 2009 challenge, each member of the family will be required to choose one game challenge to perform on behalf of the whole family, from Wii Tennis and Mario Kart Wii, to Hoola-hooping in Wii Fit and the Brain Age challenge on Nintendo DS Lite.
Respective scores from each family member’s chosen challenge are added together to form an overall total, which is then compared to scores achieved by every other competing family in South Africa.
If your overall total is the highest in the country by the close of the competition (July 19th), you and your family will get to go to Johannesburg on August 2nd to compete in the final showdown against the Primedia Family, a team of four DJ’s from Highveld Stereo and Kfm.
Don’t worry, though, because even if you lose against the DJ’s, you and your family still get to go to Disneyland in Paris, or choose the R100 000 cash.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves - you and your family still need to enter the competition!
Luckily, the Nintendo games areas at the participating Hypermarkets are open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 3pm, so be sure to get to one of the following Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarkets and enter on or before July 19th:
Woodmead, Northgate (Johannesburg), Faerie Glen (Pretoria), William Moffet (Port Elizabeth), Brackenfell (Cape Town), Klerksdorp and North Durban.
Good luck!
