Announced to be the final instalment in the God of War trilogy, and releasing next year March, God of War III is set in the realms of Greek Mythology as you take on the role of (ex-Spartan warrior) Kratos, as he scales the heights of Mt. Olympus and the depths of Hell “to seek revenge on those who have betrayed him,” (hopefully with a stern and well-written letter) in his quest to destroy Olympus (or maybe not).

Graphical whiz-bang is also promised for the third title (which it has so far delivered if the trailers are anything to go by), a robust weapons system and massive, brutal battles that are four times the size of the first two outings culminating in “a compelling and satisfying ending to Kratos’ epic story.”

E3 09: Gameplay Part 2 (Cam)

One of the bigger features in God of War III (literally) is the inclusion of the Titans, enormous, living, moving, breathing beasts that, in some cases, act as the level on which you are playing. Another addition to the franchise is the ability to ‘control’ enemies larger than Kratos to inflict further damage on the battle field, as well as solve progression puzzles.
