Since last we had a glimpse at the most played games on Xbox LIVE, Halo 3 had been ruling the roost for some weeks on the back of its newly released map pack, but now, no more. Call of Duty: World at War (probably on the back of its newly release map pack) has reclaimed the No. 1 position and staked its place as the most played game on Xbox LIVE… for the week, anyway.

Usual suspects Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV follow in succession.

Meanwhile, the best selling Xbox LIVE Arcade games list is topped by last week’s newcomer, Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers.

Weekly favourite, Castle Crashers (which recently saw it’s one millionth player on the leaderboards) is at second, while the classic Sonic ‘T’ Hedgehog 3 (the ‘T’ stands for ‘The’) is the third best seller this past week.

The Top Community Games list (or, as it’s now known, Xbox LIVE Indie Games) has a new king in the form of myFishtank at No. 1, with old favourite RC-Airsim at No. 2 and Perfect Massage at No. 3
