Two new games have magically appeared on the Xbox LIVE Arcade (XBLA) section of Xbox LIVE Marketplace today – one of which is a puzzle game, the other a fighter, but both available for 800 MS Points apiece.
First up is the puzzle game, Droplitz, which is all about “strategically twisting and connecting mismatched dials to save precious droplitz.” Described as an “addictive puzzler,” Droplitz sees players trying to connect a series of pipes in an attempt to guide water drops to their destination, in what looks to be an extreme (and extremely intriguing) version of Pipe Mania. From the release:
“With four unique play modes, a variety of board sizes, and infinite replayability, Droplitz promises to drain all your time away.” Ha ha… indeed!
The next XBLA title available today is 2D fighter, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, the release of which is accompanied by a classic piece of infotainment in the form of the official explanation, which goes a little something like this:
“It is the latest title of the Fatal Fury series [GAROU -MARK OF THE WOLVES-] comes to Xbox LIVE! With the New Hero “Rock Howard” who is only son of Geese Howard and rose up by legendary wolf Terry Bogard, story of the new wolves begin.
“It banned the traditional line-system but instead bring in the brand-new systems such as “Just Defense”, “T.O.P. In” and “Braking”. It is not only system which renewed but also all the characters are new comers only except Terry Bogard. Don’t miss the extreme battles of wolves!”
OK… sure.
Both games seem quality enough to at least try the demos. Maybe you spend some MS Points, maybe you don’t, who knows?
