2K Games and Bethesda Softworks have teamed up together to announce a new game bundle featuring two star games (one from each company) in one package, as Bioshock and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion have been taped together to form a new bundle.
Imaginatively called the BioShock & The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Bundle, the package will be available at retailers in the US starting July 7th for (an SRP of) $39.99 for the Xbox 360 version, and $29.99 for the PC version. Neither a PS3 version, or a release in European territories, has been announced.
The reason we won’t be seeing a PS3 version, though, is because 2K didn’t co-publish Oblivion for the PS3, only sharing publishing duties with Bethesda on the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game.
Additionally, the version of Oblivion on offer in the bundle is not the Game of the Year Edition, according to a spokesperson, which means it doesn’t include expansion packs and DLC such as Knights of the Nine, Shivering Isles and ‘that’ Horse Armour.
“With a combined bounty of more than 80 Game of the Year awards from the industry’s top publications,” reads the press release, “the BioShock & The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Bundle provide two critically acclaimed experiences that have set new benchmarks for their genres.”
