It seems the moment Metal Gear fans have been waiting for has finally arrived - one of the key characters from the Metal Gear Solid universe, Raiden, has appeared on the Kojima Productions teaser website.
The teaser website has been featuring updates over the last two weeks, all alluding to a big new announcement that studio head, Hideo Kojima, will make at this year’s E3, running next week.
The much rumoured appearance of Raiden has led to yet another round of rampant speculation over what the announcement could possibly be, although we’ll probably need to wait until E3 to know the true answer.
Additionally, some new letters have been showing up, which look like a series of ‘C,’ ‘O,’ and ‘P,’ leading to further speculation that the next game to emerge from Kojima Productions will be a co-operative game.
Another new image has also appeared on Kojima Productions’ official website, showing a creepy mask of some kind, possibly even the head of a statue. Kojima Productions sure are keen on hyping up this announcement, so hopefully it’s a good one…

Ha so I'm willing to bet my life that "Raiden" is actually Gray Fox. Gray Fox had long hair and is missing his left eye. We all know this because all the forums are buzzing with that, but I'm convinced now because after sleeping on it I realized something....dude is wearing blue and orange armor in the "Next" pic. I only know one ninja with those colors. Gray Fox is in the new MGS, you can take that to the bank.
It looks more like Sunny.
yeah i have thought raiden was grey fox ever since he got the sword from olga... he seemed to be too good with it to start out with.. so I thought could be some genetic muscle memory or something.
In case you forgot, in the original Metal Gear Solid, Grey Fox died. Ocelot crushed him with Metal Gear Rex. Raiden could be a clone of Grey Fox, kind of like how Solid Snake was a clone of Big Boss. Obviously they know how to clone someone because they successfully cloned Big Boss 3 times. And remember, in Sons of Liberty Solidus tells Raiden that he can't reproduce, just like Solidus, because he was a clone. I don't know, but it would be a good continuation of the series if he is a clone of Grey Fox.
Where does young Big Boss fit into the picture if the game is about Raiden? In the picture of Big Boss, he has an emblem on his beret that says "Soldiers Without Borders" in French, a pretty obvious connection to the establishment of Outer Heaven. Besides that, the guy in that picture's hair is bleached blonde and his eye is hazel. Raiden's hair is pure white and his eyes are sky blue.

You're right. I just noticed the eye colour. That means that can't be Raiden. Or atleast the Raiden that we know.
with snake presumably dead by the time sunny is in her 20's, that may explain why her eye is covered by a blue bandana, also again her eyes are hazel, raidens are not. big boss in his green beret days would be around the 1970's so the both of them may lead to some kind of multi episode release, seems more realistic than time travel i guess
Is that snake in the teaser trailer as well? wasnt he supposed to die?
That's definately sunny. she has the same color eyes and hair. i will bet my life on that.
