MTV Games, Harmonix and EA have announced that Rock Band Unplugged for the PSP will arrive in stores across the UK on the 19th of June. It will retail at £29.99. The game should be arriving a little earlier in the States on the 9th of June.
Developed by Harmonix in partnership with Backbone Entertainment, Rock Band Unplugged combines traditional beatmatch gameplay with key elements from Rock Band and Rock Band 2. Players take direct control of the lead/bass guitars, drum and vocals using their hands as the peripherals. The game includes various modes such as a World Tour mode, Band Warmup Mode and Band survival mode.
Rock Band Unplugged features 41 master recordings including nine songs that are new to the Rock Band music catalogue and which will be exclusive to the PSP for a limited time. In addition the game includes the first in-game store for downloadable content on the PSP.
A limited edition Rock Band PSP Entertainment Pack will be available in North America. This new bundle includes a copy of the game, a Piano Black PSP, 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo and a voucher to download School of Rock.
