Ubisoft has announced Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage will be available exclusively for the Wii this holiday.
The game will be developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White. World Stage will see players hitting the slopes with White and his crew in pursuit of the world’s top competitions, ranging from a half-pipe in New York’s Time Square to competitions in France, Canada and Japan.
Like Shaun White Snowboarding, which launched in November 2008 and went on to sell 3 million copies, World Stage will be compatible with the Wii Balance Board and allow players to snowboard alone or with friends.
World Stage will be showcased by Ubisoft at E3 but check out the first screenshots of the game below until then.
El33tonline enjoyed Road Trip, the Wii version of the first title in the series, but thought the PS3 version was lacking something.
“Working with Shaun on the first title was an excellent experience,” said Antoine Guignard, producer of Shaun White Snowboarding : World Stage at Ubisoft. “The great public reception of Shaun White Snowboarding and the wonderful collaboration with Shaun made it a slam dunk for us to reunite to create a fun, new adventure for fans.”
“Ubisoft has been a great partner, and I’m excited for World Stage,” said action sports phenom Shaun White. “It’s cool to give people insight on what my life is like on the competition circuit.”
