Wii Fit has finally been budged from its perch atop the UK Software Sales Chart this week, with not one, but three debut titles beating Nintendo’s dominating fitness hardware and software bundle, relegating the title to No. 4 this week.
At No. 1, UFC 2009: Undisputed debuts in the software chart, with a console sales split of 52% on Xbox 360 and 48% on PS3. Nintendo’s Pokemon Platinum finally releases in the UK, managing a placement at No. 2 in its first week on sale, while EA Sports Active hits No. 3 during its first week on the chart.
Fifa 09 (sales down 8%) moves down to No. 5 from No. 2 last week, while X-Men Origins: Wolverine (sales up 2%) slips from No. 3 to No. 6 this week. Meanwhile, Wii Play (sales up a whopping 95%) moves up to No. 7 from No. 9 last week and Mario Kart Wii (sales up 13%) falls to No. 8 this week from No. 5.
My Fitness Coach (sales up 82%) jumps up to No. 9 from No. 14 last week, while Call of Duty: World at War (sales flat) drops down to No. 10 this week from No. 4.
Other interesting movement on the UK Software Chart this week includes the debut of Bionic Commando at No. 14, The Godfather II moving up to No. 17 from No. 21, Resident Evil 5 drops to No. 18 from No. 6 last week, Battlestations Pacific moves down to No. 19 this week from No. 10, Rhythm Paradise falls to No. 20 from No. 12 last week, Sonic Unleashed moves to No. 31 from No. 15 and Damnation debuts on the chart this week at No. 35.
