OK, now this is getting a little ridiculous. Wii Fit, for the sixth week in a row, has managed to clinch the No. 1 position on the UK All Formats Software Chart, even with a sales drop of 7%. This is the fifteenth week at the top for Wii Fit since it launched, now only requiring three more weeks at the top to equal the all time record holder, Who Wants to be a Millionaire from Eidos.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine hangs tough at No. 2 (with a 16% sales increase), while Fifa 09 (13% sales increase) and Wii Play (12% sales decrease) have to remain content with their previous positions of No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.
Mario Kart Wii (5% sales increase) moves up to No. 5 from No. 6 last week, seemingly swapping positions with Resident Evil 5 (21% sales decrease), which falls to No. 6 this week from No. 5. Call of duty: World at War (3% sales decrease) leaps up to No. 7 from No. 10 last week, as Professor Layton and the Curious Village (14% sales decrease) steps up to No. 8 from No. 9 last week.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (2% sales decrease) surges back into the coveted Top Ten, while Nintendo’s Rhythm Paradise on the DS manages to place itself at No. 10 in second week on sale, with sales up by a dramatic 125%.
Other interesting movement on the software sales chart this week includes The Godfather moving out of the Top Ten this week to No. 12, Sonic Unleashed launching itself into No. 14 from No. 21 last week, Halo Wars moving up a few spaces to No. 20 this week from No. 25, Guitar Hero: World Tour moving down to No. 26 from No. 18 last week, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena sliding down along way to No. 28 from No. 7 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 taking a walk up to No. 29 from No. 39 last week.
