Q-Games has finally detailed the next instalment in their popular PixelJunk series. Currently known as PixelJunk 1-4, the game will mix shooting and strategy elements and will see players navigating cavernous stages in a rescue ship.
Players will need to take cover behind rocks, trade fire with enemies, capture survivors and navigate their way around earth, water, magma and missiles, creating escape routes and exploring the land and water. The game will feature the sounds of electronic group High Frequency Bandwidth.
According to a press release just received from SCEE, PixelJunk 1-4 will be available in the PlayStation Store in late summer 2009.
