Bethesda have recently announced that the latest title update for their enormous singleplayer wasteland RPG, Fallout 3, has gone live on Xbox 360 and PC.
Primarily acting as a support patch for their upcoming Broken Steel downloadable content (which we are reminded will be released on May 5th), Bethesda did manage to squash some bugs in the process:
Update 1.5 Notes (PC and Xbox 360)
New Features
- New achievements for Broken Steel
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue with VATS calculations not appearing properly for perks (PC)
- Fixed crash related to altered references between master files
- LOD objects render properly when loaded from DLC worldspaces
- Fixed issue with companion NPCs not loading into cells immediately after player
If you’re on the Xbox 360, you can get the title update as per the normal method (i.e. automatically), but if you’re on the PC, you can either download the patch over here and apply it manually, or if you’re running in Games For Windows, you will be prompted to download the patch if you’re online.
