Resident Evil Archives revealed for the Wii, scary first screens

Resident Evil Archives BoxshotCapcom has taken the wraps off Resident Evil Archives for the Wii, a remake of the classic Resident Evil which was originally released on the GameCube in 2002 which featured new rooms, areas, items and creatures that were not included in the PlayStation original released in 1996.

Resident Evil Archives will see players battling against zombies, infected dogs and gigantic bosses, using a wide range of defensive weapons. Playing as S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team members Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, players will need to solve puzzles as they explore the mansion, each character uncovering two different paths, with over 10 different game endings.

Resident Evil Archives will be available in June.

Those dont look like the new version it looks identical to the gamecube. wheresd the new stuff??????

ThatEnglishDude

It's simple, there IS no new stuff. It really is quite simply the GameCube version with Wii controller icons on the menus. With no motion sensing, no graphic overhaul, NOTHING. NOTHING has been upgraded and they expect you to pay $29.99 for it.

droidanomix

not only that, but with a name like archives youd expect more than one game

If I remember right it is going to be more than 1 game...

Oliver

It's a Resident Evil game from Capcom's archives...

Bah-dum-tish!

Will it use the classic control scheme or the new control scheme (RE4 and RE5)?

Hey, thanks, I do what I can ;)

Its Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil Zero is what I heard.

its the exact same game that you can pop in to your Wii just with Wii Motion controllers..

and I heard that it will get a Wide screen option and upscale to 480p.

I want to compare the two version though serously? how much can they sell this game for anyway?

I might buy it for the fuck of it but RE Zero and remake looks good on my HDTV without the HD cables anyway..and it goes widescreen (depends on your TV hey)
