Lego Rock Band ImageThat’s about all you really need to know, as the two best-selling franchises mentioned would be Rock Band and Lego, combining together to become an unholy alliance, resulting in incredible sales and profitability for all those involved in its creation.

Anyways, Lego Rock Band – who’d have seen it coming? Well, the developers, obviously, as Managing Director at TT Games, Tom Stone says:

“LEGO Rock Band combines two compelling properties and creates an experience that family members of all ages will enjoy playing together as a group. Harmonix and MTV Games are the world experts in music gameplay, and we’re genuinely thrilled to bring the unique and humour-filled LEGO experience to their Rock Band universe.”

Vice President of the LEGO Group, Henrik Taudorf Lorensen also had a say, commenting; “We’re thrilled to offer another LEGO branded gaming experience that will deliver humorous and social play for families and friends. LEGO Rock Band is built around the same values of imagination and family-friendly creative role play that is present in other LEGO videogames.

“It will deliver innovative new elements of game play that complement the fun of the Rock Band experience.”

Last of all, Senior Vice President of Electronic Games for MTV Games, Bob Picunko said; “Rock Band is a social game experience that crosses every generation and every genre of rock. Harmonix and MTV Games are big fans of the LEGO game franchise and excited to work with TT Games to develop a new take on Rock Band that focuses on great music and LEGO humour that’s fun for the whole family.”

Announced songs to be included in the package are:

I had to check twice that it wasn't April Fools today!

But seriously I can't wait to see the rest of the track-list....the more Rock Band music out there the better!

Brad

I wonder if it will come with Lego styled instruments?
