The set list for Guitar Hero World Tour just got a whole lot bigger with the recent announcement that 15 new songs will be landing in April.
The Pixies will make their Guitar Hero debut while Silversun Pickups will release two new songs off their new album prior to its release. Gamers can also look forward to three more hits from Nirvana and more music from Motörhead and Steely Dan.
Three songs from The Pixies will arrive on the 2nd of April, two singles from their second album Doolittle, ‘Debaser’ and ‘Monkey Gone to Heaven,’ and ‘The Sad Punk’ from their final album Trompe le Monde.
Two songs from Silversun Pickups new album Swoon will be available on the 14th of April, ‘Panic Switch’ and ‘It’s Nice to Know You Work Alone.’ ‘Well Thought out Twinkles’ from an earlier album will arrive on the 9th of April.
Steely Dan will return to Guitar Hero on the 16th of April with ‘Black Friday,’ ‘Kid Charlemagne’ and ‘Bodhisattva.’ Re-recorded versions of ‘Jailbait,’ ‘Love me like a reptile’ and ‘Iron Fist’ from Motörhead will be available on the 23rd of April. Nirvana also returns with their second downloadable Track Pack on the 30th of April: ‘Very Ape,’ ‘Sappy’ and ‘Stay Away.’
The Track Packs will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store for 440 Microsoft points and 5.49 Euros/£3.99. You can also download the songs in the Track Packs as singles for 160 Microsoft Points, 1.99 Euros/£1.59 and 200 Wii Points.
