The official site for Dark Void has gone live and to celebrate Capcom has released a new teaser trailer for the game.
Described as an “action shooter with a vertical twist,” Dark Void is being developed by Airtight Games and will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this winter.
Dark Void is a new sci-fi action-adventure game that combines aerial and on-foot combat, bringing a new gameplay dynamic to the third person shooter experience. The game is set in a parallel universe called The Void and sees players assuming the role of Will, a pilot who crashes in the Bermuda Triangle and becomes trapped in the Void. Will soon finds himself joining The Survivors, a group of resistance fighters that are struggling to hold off a mysterious alien race known as The Watchers that plans to threaten Earth.
The game features a unique vertical combat system that allows players to take down enemies from above as well as a grip system which players can use to scale walls or hijack UFOs in mid-air. Players will use hover and rocket packs to perform special in-air moves and stunts.
