UK-based developer doublesix has announced that Burn Zombie Burn! will be released exclusively on the PlayStation Network in the US and Europe on the 26th of March.
The new zombie slaying game is set across six classic American-horror movie inspired levels. Described as a “top-down, arena-based third person shoot ‘em-up in the classic coin-op tradition,” the game stars Bruce whose romantic plans with girlfriend Daisy are interrupted by a Zombie invasion.
Now to survive the horde, you must shoot, burn and explode as many zombies as possible before they overpower you. Fire is your most important tool so get ready to burn zombies and set up chains of explosions to earn high scores.
How could a game that promises to deliver “dark humour and bloody zombie violence in copious amounts” not be fun? Burn Zombie Burn!
Fans of the game will be able to participate in high score and trophy competitions to win a horror themed holiday, framed artwork signed by the development team as well as limited edition game T-shirts.
doublesix also confirmed that additional PSN downloadable content for the game is in the pipeline. This DLC includes a strategy guide, 8 page BZB graphic comic and the music tracks from the game.
