Call of Duty: Classic, the re-release of Infinity Ward’s… classic first Call of Duty game that started it all, is now up and available on Xbox LIVE for 1200 MS Points, although Germany will have to sit this one out, as it’s not (yet) available in the country. From the description:
“For the first time ever, Infinity Ward’s 2003 award-winning game that launched a franchise comes to consoles. Relive the original Call of Duty experience in HD. Online multiplayer on Xbox LIVE, including Leaderboard support. Winner of over 80 Game of the Year Awards and 50 Editor’s Choice Awards.”
It was indeed excellent when it was first released, and was a clear step over the rival series at the time, Medal of Hono(u)r, which was fitting seeing as how top developers such as Vince Zampella and Jason West jumped from the 2015 ship to form Infinity Ward.
With rose-tinted glasses firmly on, 1200 MS Points is well worth the convenience of playing the game on a console again after all these years.
