With the release of Link’s latest adventure just around the corner, Nintendo has released a new trailer for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the DS.
No longer content to be kidnapped from Hyrule and wait around for adventurer Link to save her, Spirit Tracks sees Zelda and Link teaming up for the first time in the 23-year history of The Legend of Zelda series.
The spirit of Zelda accompanies Link on his quest to save the land, helping Link out by taking control of Phantoms (described as “hulking suits of armor”) and allowing players to direct Link and the new allies as they progress, taking on enemies, solving puzzles and uncovering secrets. Zelda will also assist players to discover new areas, storylines and items as she rides alongside Link on his train.
Watch some of the action that awaits you in Spirit Tracks below in this ‘Zelda’s Secret’ trailer.
“More than two decades into its rich history, The Legend of Zelda has introduced another historic first for players as Link and Zelda unite to save Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing.
“Combining these unprecedented new story and game-play elements with the series’ innovative touch-screen interface on Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi, the game is sure to surprise and delight new and longtime fans.”
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks will be available for the DS on the 7th of December across North America and a few days later on the 11th in Europe.
