Microsoft began its Xbox LIVE Rewards programme yesterday, which aims to provide incentives to Xbox LIVE Gold (and Silver) members “just for doing the stuff Xbox Live members do all the time,” such as buy games, extra content and subscriptions to Netflix and Xbox LIVE, as well as answer surveys.
Available only to citizens of the US (at the moment), and only those who received an invitation to take part in the pilot run, Xbox LIVE Rewards gives back MS Points (the currency of Xbox LIVE) to those users who are active account holders, as a statement on the official website hammers the point home:
“The best part is, the more you spend, the more you get, and for each month you stay on Gold, the higher your monthly reward – up to 5 percent of your Marketplace spend.”
Check out a chart of the various activities and rewards you’ll be eligible for below, and find out more about Xbox LIVE Rewards at the official portal over here.
