Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has been busy recently spreading the news of new content and updates coming to the developer’s behemoth of a smash hit, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
First, Bowling confirmed that Modern Warfare 2’s playlist would be updated soon (in a Twitter update posted yesterday, US time):
“Playlist update coming today. Introducing Hardcore Ricochet: HQ Pro & adding more maps to the rotation of the Free-for-All playlist.”
Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist also confirmed that the playlist update would be for all platforms:
“Thats correct. The playlist update today will be for ALL platforms.”
Bowling then went on to post that downloadable content for Modern Warfare 2 would be arriving sometime next year, in what he admits is the vague release window of ‘Spring.” From Bowling’s Twitter tweet:
“DLC is planned [for] the wonderfully [vague] timeframe of Spring. I’ll let you know when we know when it’ll be done.”
